About Us
The Russian Club was founded by Russian immigrants who arrived in Australia after the Civil War at the beginning of the last century.

The first chairman of the club for 6 years, from 1924 to 1930, was A. I. Starshinov, he was replaced and headed the club for more than 10 years, until 1941, by G. A. Davidenkov. Several addresses changed at the club, renting premises in the center of Sydney, on Pitt Street, then on George Street, until the board bought a place for the club at Strathfield station, 10-15 minutes from the city center. There, the club was first located in an old building, and by the mid-90s, when a multi-storey building was built on this site, the Russian Club received premises on the ground floor and an underground garage.
